Las Vegas buffets were once the symbol of the city's abundant, democratic excess. Post-COVID, many iconic buffets closed permanently, but the best remaining options are genuinely excellent. Here's the honest 2026 assessment.
Best Buffets Remaining
- Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace — The gold standard. 500+ items, fresh pasta station, proper seafood. $55–65/person. Book ahead.
- Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan — Semi-buffet with individual portions rather than mass trays. Higher quality than traditional buffet format. $45–55.
- The Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas — Elegant presentation, superior quality. $55–65.
- Garden Court Buffet at Main Street Station (Downtown) — The best value buffet remaining. $25–35, solid quality.
Gone But Not Forgotten
The MGM Grand Buffet, The Bellagio Buffet, Harrah's Flavors, and numerous others closed permanently during COVID and have not reopened. The buffet map of Las Vegas has changed significantly since 2019.
Is a Buffet Worth It?
At the $55–65 price point, a buffet needs to deliver significantly more than a restaurant meal to justify itself. For serious eaters who can sample 10–15 stations over 2 hours, yes. For normal appetites, a good a-la-carte meal often provides better value and experience.
