Wynn Las Vegas: Is It Actually Worth the Premium Price?

The Wynn and Encore are the most expensive properties on the Strip. Are they genuinely better than the competition — or just more expensive? An honest assessment.

The Wynn and Encore consistently top Las Vegas hotel rankings and carry premium rates to match. At $300–600/night before the $45 resort fee, the question of value is legitimate. Here's the honest assessment.

What You're Paying For

  • The most beautiful hotel design in Las Vegas — the lobby, the esplanade, the pool, the casino floor all exceed any competitor
  • The most attentive service on the Strip — staff density and training are visibly higher
  • The Wynn pool and adult pool are the best hotel pool experiences in Las Vegas
  • Encore Beach Club — the best dayclub in the world
  • The casino floor has the best blackjack odds on the Strip (fewer 6:5 tables than competitors)

What You're Not Paying For

The Wynn's restaurants are excellent but priced separately — the hotel room price doesn't buy you access to SW Steakhouse or anything beyond the base room. The entertainment options are also separately ticketed.

The Verdict

For a honeymoon, a milestone birthday, or a trip where the hotel experience is the primary objective: yes, the Wynn premium is justified. For a trip where the hotel is just a base and you're spending most of your time elsewhere: the Venetian, Cosmopolitan, or Aria deliver 90% of the quality at 60–70% of the price.
