Fremont Street is two very different drinking experiences separated by a few blocks. The Fremont Street Experience is large tourist-oriented bars with cheap drinks and loud music. Fremont East, a block away, is one of the most interesting bar neighborhoods in the American West.

Fremont East: The Good Stuff

  • The Commonwealth — Three-floor Victorian cocktail bar with a secret rooftop. Excellent cocktail program.
  • The Griffin — Dark and moody, great music, fantastic cocktails. Best late-night bar Downtown.
  • Atomic Liquors — Las Vegas's oldest bar (1952), serves excellent cocktails in a genuinely historic space.
  • Le Thai — Thai food and craft cocktails in one room. Exceptional value.
  • Park on Fremont — Outdoor beer garden with local food trucks. The most relaxed bar in the area.

Fremont Street Experience Bars

The bars directly under the Fremont Street canopy (Slotzilla area, Fremont Street bars) serve large, cheap drinks (the yard-long cocktails are a rite of passage). The prices are genuinely reasonable compared to Strip bars, and the light show atmosphere overhead is excellent.
