Why Spring Is Actually the Best Time to Visit Las Vegas

March, April, and early May represent Las Vegas at its best — perfect weather, pre-peak pricing, and the full entertainment calendar running. Here's the case for spring.

If someone who lives in Las Vegas tells you the best time to visit, most will say spring — specifically mid-March through late April. Here's why.

The Weather

March and April average 70–85°F. No heat precautions required. Outdoor dining, walking, hiking, and pool use are all comfortable at any hour. Rainfall is possible but brief. The desert spring bloom produces wildflowers in Red Rock Canyon and the surrounding mountains that make the landscape extraordinary.

The Prices

  • Hotel rates are 20–40% below summer peak pricing
  • Restaurants are bookable without weeks of advance notice
  • Pool dayclubs haven't hit their summer pricing yet
  • Show tickets are more available

The Entertainment

The full entertainment calendar is running in spring — concert residencies, shows, nightclub programming. The only things absent are the peak pool dayclub events (which require the summer heat as context).

The Outdoor Bonus

Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, Zion National Park, and the Grand Canyon are all at their most beautiful in spring — comfortable temperatures and post-winter plant growth. March is consistently the best month for outdoor day trips from Las Vegas.
