The World Series of Poker is the largest and most prestigious poker tournament series in the world — running 100+ events from late May through mid-July at Horseshoe Las Vegas (formerly Bally's). Here's the complete guide for players and spectators.

The Events

The WSOP runs over 90 bracelet events ranging from $400 buy-in tournaments to the $250,000 Super High Roller Bowl. The Main Event — $10,000 buy-in, no-limit Texas Hold'em — runs in early July and attracts 8,000+ players competing for a prize pool exceeding $80 million.

Playing in the WSOP

  • Low buy-in events ($400–1,000) are excellent first tournament experiences
  • The daily deepstack events (running throughout) offer 8–12 hour competitive sessions
  • Day 1 of the Main Event is the best spectator day — the full field of 8,000+ players at their peak
