Las Vegas summer officially runs through Labor Day weekend — three months of peak energy, maximum heat, and the city's highest entertainment programming density. Here's the mid-summer assessment and what remains on the calendar.
What's Still Coming This Summer
- Pool dayclub season — Running at full programming through Labor Day
- Concert residencies — All major venues at full schedule through late August
- EDC Las Vegas (if not already passed) — Electric Daisy Carnival typically mid-June
- Major boxing events at T-Mobile Arena — August traditionally sees several championship cards
- Late-season hotel rate window — Last two weeks of August before Labor Day often see midweek rate drops
The Labor Day Weekend
Labor Day weekend is the summer's final major event weekend — traditionally one of the four biggest party weekends of the year in Las Vegas. Pool dayclubs run their final major events. Hotels spike to peak pricing. Plan 3–4 months ahead if this weekend is your target.
The Shoulder Season Opens
The second week of September marks the unofficial end of summer and the beginning of fall shoulder season — the first significant hotel rate decrease since Memorial Day, manageable temperatures, and a city transitioning to its second-best period of the year.
