Summerlin is the planned community in the foothills of the Spring Mountains that has become the Las Vegas area's most desirable residential neighborhood. It's also developed enough dining and activity infrastructure to merit a day-trip visit for tourists.

Downtown Summerlin

Downtown Summerlin is an outdoor shopping and dining complex with 125+ shops and restaurants, a 16-screen cinema, a Las Vegas Ballpark for the Triple-A A's affiliate, and access to Red Rock Canyon's eastern trailhead. The Las Vegas Ballpark is one of the best minor league baseball stadiums in America.

Best Restaurants in Summerlin

  • Bottiglia at the Palazzo (nearby) — Excellent Italian-American
  • Honey Salt — The best brunch in the Summerlin area. Farm-to-table concept, consistently excellent.
  • Vesta Coffee Roasters — Best specialty coffee in the valley.
  • Kabuki Japanese Restaurant — Reliable, good quality Japanese in a non-Strip setting.

The Red Rock Access Point

Red Rock Canyon's main visitor center and scenic drive entrance is 5 minutes west of Summerlin via West Charleston Blvd. Combining Summerlin dining with a Red Rock Canyon morning makes for an excellent non-Strip day.
