Las Vegas is one of the most photographed cities on earth, but most visitors take the same five photos. Here are the locations that produce genuinely exceptional imagery.
The Top Spots
- Bellagio Fountain bridge at midnight — The fountain show from the pedestrian bridge with the Bellagio facade. Free, spectacular.
- Wynn atrium — The floral displays in the Wynn lobby are among the most photographed hotel interiors in the world.
- Arts District murals — The mural on Las Vegas Blvd South near the Arts District is one of the most photographed street art works in the American West.
- Neon Museum at night — The boneyard tour among lit vintage signs at dusk is unlike anything else.
- Fremont Street looking east at dusk — The light show framed by the casino facades.
- The Sphere from the parking lot of the Venetian — The only place to photograph the full Sphere face-on from street level.
- Red Rock Canyon Calico Hills at sunrise — Desert dawn light on ancient sandstone.
- The Cosmopolitan Chandelier Bar — Three floors of crystal chandelier with art installations.
Timing Matters
The Strip at 11pm looks different from the Strip at 8am. The fountain shows photograph better after dark. The desert landscape is best at dawn. Plan your photography sessions with lighting in mind — the golden hour in a desert city is extraordinary.
