Memorial Day weekend is one of the biggest party weekends in Las Vegas all year. Here's how to do it right — and avoid the rookie mistakes.

Read the full guide

Memorial Day weekend in Las Vegas is one of the five biggest party weekends of the year — alongside New Year's Eve, 4th of July, Halloween, and Super Bowl. The Strip is packed, pool dayclubs are at maximum capacity, and every headliner has a show booked. Book everything now if you haven't already.

What to Expect

  • Hotel prices spike 40–80% above normal weekend rates
  • Pool dayclubs sell out weeks in advance — buy tickets now or face scalpers
  • Every major nightclub has a special event lineup
  • Uber surge pricing kicks in hard after midnight Thursday through Monday
  • The Strip is genuinely crowded — even for Vegas

The Best Events

Encore Beach Club, Drai's Beachclub, and Wet Republic all run full three-day events with nationally touring DJs. The pool parties start Thursday and run through Sunday, with Monday being the 'recovery pool' day that's actually excellent value — smaller crowds, same venue.

Book in Advance

Restaurants that are normally walkable will have 2–3 hour waits. Book any dining you care about a week ahead. The same applies to shows — Tix4Tonight kiosks won't have the Memorial Day headline acts.

Confirm current hours, prices, access, age rules, and availability with the official venue before you go.
